April Favourites

April has been an odd month. April 14th marked the first anniversary of my Grandad's passing, I've been skint for most of the month and I've been in a creative slump, but on the other hand I've had a lot of good times socially, we had a mini heatwave in the middle of it and we did kick off the month with Easter and all of it's chocolatey goodness. Anyway, here are my favourite things from April.

Most bloggers, when talking about a piece of clothing in their posts, will be more likely be talking about a top from Primark, maybe a midi dress from Topshop or a pair of shoes from Office.

I'm gonna talk about work pants from George at Asda. Yup. Plain black bootcut work pants.

I have to wear these for work and I saw these on the rail for £6 and, being a bit short on the ol' dollar this month I thought I'd give them a try. Turns out, they're so comfortable and fit really well and for £6, THAT'S SIX BRITISH POUNDS I can't believe how good they actually are. I'm definitely going to pick up another pair when I get paid this month. The only downside to these is that there's no pockets. Booooo. If they had pockets they would literally be perfect.

After the cold snap in March I found my lips were more sore than usual, despite me keeping to my usual lip scrub/balm routine of a night. I picked up this Dr Organic Pomegranate lip balm from Holland & Barrett and since I've been using it I've not had any problems with my lips being chapped or anything like that. It doesn't glide on as smoothly as some other lip balms but as it does the job I'm not really bothered by that. It smells lovely too and is SPF 15. Is SPF 15? Has SPF 15? Someone please let know what the grammatically correct way of talking about SPF is.

I went to see Avengers: Infinity War and it's so bloody good. I don't wanna talk about it too much because spoilers etc but let me tell you this, I normally don't do well sitting through long films but this didn't feel like two and a half hours at all. It was action right the way throughout and if you haven't seen it yet go and see it. I don't even care if you don't like Marvel films, just go and watch it. GO. GO RIGHT NOW.

My hair has bored me for quite some time now and I finally made a decision and dyed it red. It came out much brighter than I was expecting as I put the dye straight onto my naturally brown hair and I was so made up with the result. The dye I used was Naturtint Hair Colour in the shade Fireland 6.66 (spooky). I'd used a Naturtint dye last year as well and I think it's a really good brand, they use natural ingredients in their products and they're vegan too, which is a massive bonus. The only store that stocks Naturtint is Holland & Barrett, but they also have their own website which you can purchase from too.

The colour doesn't really show up on camera so I did use a filter on this pic to make the hair look the same as it does irl.

Did you all have a good April?
