My Night Time Beauty Routine - Autumn 2017

I've noticed a lot of changes in my skin over the past couple of years. I don't know whether it's because I changed my products due to going cruelty free or whether it's because I'm getting older, or even a mix of the two. Whatever the cause, it's been a battle getting my skincare routine right, as I mentioned in my previous post How I Became Cruelty Free, but it finally looks like I'm beginning to get somewhere. It's not perfect by any means but I'm quite content at the moment so I figured I would share my current nightly skincare routine with you guys!

First of all, I still remove my make up using face wipes. I did try removing my make up using cleansers but I didn't like it as I wear most of my make up around my eyes and I dunno why I just feel weird using creams on my eyelids? Anyway, I use the Superdrug Essential Cleansing Wipes for combination skin because, well, I have combination skin.

Then I use a cotton pad and Boots Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream to remove any leftover make up residue and to generally clean my face. This is the old packaging for the Boots product, the reason I bought this in the first place is because the were selling off everything in the old packaging for a pound. ONE BRITISH POUND. BARGAIN. I also bought the Soothing Eye Make Up Remover from the same range for the same reason but I don't like it, it makes my eyelids feel really greasy. The Cleansing Cream, on the other hand, isn't giving me any problems. It seems to have helped clear up some dry areas that I had on my cheeks, which means I don't have to worry about clinging foundation.

After this I brush my teeth and sort myself out a glass of water for next to my bed. I can guarantee that if I don't leave a glass of water next to my bed I will wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst. Then I exfoliate my lips using the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub.

This stuff smells AMAZING. It does actually also taste amazing, I wish that I could eat it but that is probably not a wise idea. Once exfoliated I put on a lip balm to moisturise.

The last thing I do is apply hand cream. I'm currently using Soap & Glory's Hand Food, which keeps my hands lovely and smooth.

And that's my pre-bed routine! I have been debating trying out a night time moisturiser for my face but I don't know if I actually need one. What do you guys recommend?
